Quartz, granite, marble are all countertops, but they all have something different to offer.
Quartz is one of the hardest minerals on Earth, there isn’t any upkeep and that is one of the main reasons why quartz is a popular choice for countertops. Quartz is non-adsorbent but like all-natural stone it can be damaged by sudden changes in temperature. Everyone loves the beautiful designs, colors and patterns quartz has to offer.
Granite is a natural stone that is mined as a single large slab and no two sheets are alike. It can be used outdoors and will not fade. Unfortunately, it absorbs all the stains and liquids and needs to be sealed every six months and if you want that shine on your granite you got to polish it. Granite also tends to have a lot of variation and movement in tone and texture, so it doesn’t fit everyone’s style.
Marble countertops have been used for centuries and you will still find it in Europe and many old American homes because it makes a great worktop surface. Marble is a beautiful but unfortunately very soft stone that scratches, stains and etches easily. People tend to stay away from this delicate countertop only because of maintenance.
